Note moyenne 2,0 basée sur 1 avisWe purchased a home from Carson Shanks in 2014. Today I was awakened at 2:45 am by a blaring smoke alarm. Summoned a neighbour at 7:30 am. I am an octogenarian, unable to climb ladders. Unable to safely activate the smoke alarm using fully charged 9V batteries, he disconnected the unit and went home. Then, in quick succession the other two began to beep. Another neighbour brought them down and we discovered that all three had expired Before C.S. Installed them. I telephoned him to ask for his reasons. He denied responsibility and hung up on me. Dangerous practice ….. Unsafe smoke alarms. We did not have a harmonious business relationship with him, but had no longer harboured angst from the past. This morning, they rose again and future, prospective home buyers need to be aware lax standards. I was prepared to replace the first faulty alarm but was taken aback when it became evident the trio of alarms should never have been installed, expired as they were, into a brand, new building.
